First off, the whole team at College of Hope would love to thank everyone who came out and supported us at our open house earlier this month!
You helped to make our first ever Anniversary Open House a great success! We were honored to have our community partners and clients there to celebrate 20 years of life-skills classes with us. Everyone who has attended a College of Hope class, recommended that someone take one of our classes, taught one of our classes, volunteered and donated to one of our classes, is part of the reason why we have been able to serve the community of Snohomish County for the last 20 years. Your support is why there was so much to celebrate!
When we opened up our classes to the public in 2006, we served 146 individuals, and offered 1,034 hours of free life-skills classes. Last year we served 850 individuals, and offered 6,646 hours of classes! We also supplied 104 backpacks (full of school supplies) to 52 families through our Back to School classes this August!
To celebrate these achievements we raffled off 4 gift baskets that corresponded to each of our 4 main areas of focus:
Health & Wellness
Our self-care basket full of fun goodies to help encourage you take care of your body, mind, and spirit!
Fun activities for families to enjoy together!
A full kit from our Keep it Clean class (keep an eye on our Eventbrite so that you can register for the next one) and a new bakeware set!
Items to help you set goals, take control of your finances, and build the crucial skills needed to succeed in the workplace!
We also raffled off one free community partner training. The local non-profit Peoria Home were the winners of our free community partner training, and we can't wait to start customizing the perfect staff training for their organization!
Our partners from the Pregnancy Resource Center of Snohomish County raffled off a gift basket as well.
So many good things to celebrate!
Thank you so much for your support, we couldn't have made it 20 years without amazing community members like you!
