A Pinnacle of Modern Learning

College of Hope is pleased to announce that, as of January 22nd of 2020, we have officially launched our new Corporate Training Program!

Have you ever thought about how nice it would be if everyone at your job was trained in successful communication skills? Or how about conflict resolution techniques? Wouldn't it be great to work with people who followed workplace etiquette standards, like when it's appropriate to hit "reply all" to an email and when a person should just "reply" to the sender? Well, College of Hope is ready to help you and your colleagues learn these essential workplace skills and so much more!

Our Corporate Training Program will be fully customizable, and available to any group or organization that is interested. Optional training topics include; time management, stress management, self-efficacy, working with difficult people, SMART goals, motivational interviewing, practicing good self-care, workplace strategies, emotional intelligence, workplace professionalism, team building, cultural competency, building better professional relationships, trauma informed care, and many more. We'll take the time to get to know you and your organization's specific needs, in order to develop and deliver the perfect staff training that aligns with your company's culture. College of Hope's Corporate Training Program is a tool that organizations and groups can take advantage of in order to continue to grow their business through the act of growing their people. Because the success of an organization is completely dependent on the success of its employees.

Creating a culture of continuous learning and personal development increases your organization's success and ultimately it's bottom line. Increased training opportunities result in:

  • A more highly skilled workforce

  • Better employee retention

  • Increased employee satisfaction and loyalty

  • Reduced turnover

  • Opportunities for internal advancement

  • Increased productivity and efficiency

When one area of your organization is working effectively and efficiently it encourages the other parts of your organization to become more productive as well. A Gartner Research study has shown that "for every 1 hour spent on employee training, 5 hours of productivity are saved per year." Staff training does require an upfront cost from the organization, but compared to our competitors, College of Hope's Corporate Training Program is incredibly affordable. According to a 2015 Training Industry Report, "the total 2015 U.S. training expenditures increased by 14.2%. On average, employees received 53.8 hours of training per year, 13 hours more than the previous year." Organizations throughout the country are catching onto the idea that an investment in their employees' development is an investment worth making. When people feel valued, they take pride in their work and are eager to grow their skills and capabilities.

College of Hope was originally formed as an extension of Housing Hope back in 1999, with the goal to help reduce the education gap facing individuals and families living in poverty. Our first year in operation we served less than 50 clients. Since then we have expanded drastically, serving 850+ clients this last fiscal year. With over 20 years of experience under our belt, we feel confident in knowing that our program has helped enact real change in our community, and we're ready to share our expertise with your organization!

If you would like to find out more, please fill out the interest form at the bottom of our Trainings page or give us a call at 425-353-8112.
